How to explain cleaning prices without sounding aggressive

When it is time to say the price, the fear of sounding aggressive or losing the client kicks in. To escape that discomfort, many professionals speak quietly, ramble, or offer a discount before even hearing a reply — and end up charging less than they deserve.

Why this happens

The price feels personal, as if saying it were asking for a favor. But to the client it is just information to decide.

Silence and a quick discount feel safe, but they signal that the price itself has no basis.

The CleanerFlow method is to state the price calmly, tied to what is included, and then stop talking. Confidence is not pressure — it is clarity. A price said as a calm fact conveys more security than a thousand explanations.

Step by step

  1. 1Know your number before the conversation, so you do not calculate in front of the client.

  3. 3Say the price as a fact, without apologizing.
  4. 4Pause and let the client respond, instead of filling the silence with a discount.
  5. 5If she asks for less, offer an option (fewer items, a different frequency) instead of just dropping the price.
